Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me says the Lord.
For the past couple of weeks everywhere I go I hear the song Worn by Tenth Avenue North. In the car, walking through the store, or just in my head. I started thinking maybe God is trying to tell me something, so I prayed to Him and asked Him to help me understand what He was telling me. He had me reflect on the struggles that are going on around the world. Unjust wars started under false allegations because of religion or race, genocide in a poor nation killing hundreds of thousands and nothing is being said. Too many nations including our own where racial separation still exists, or a church where people struggle with their daily problems that seem larger than life, they seem hopeless,
or you feel helpless. Is there any wonder why we need Jesus to lean on, to help us know that the struggle ends?
In Isaiah 54:17, we find Isaiah praising and rejoicing that he knows who is in charge, and also knowing why our struggles are not our struggles. Because of God's grace we will win. It is the song that is sung throughout the scriptures, it is the promise from God Himself. Our struggles are not in vain, we will receive salvation from our Father.
Isaiah 26:3 says You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind has stayed on You, because he trusts in You. By keeping your mind steadfast and unmovable, your mountain will only be a mole hill. And, since God has told us that our struggles come to make us stronger, We have peace knowing that our struggles are only spiritual workouts that make us stronger to do the things that God is calling us to do. So don't see our struggles as our struggles, see them as God enabling us to teach someone what He can do. So if you are finding your situation dismal, or hopeless, remind yourself that this is a stepping stone. Let God use you and the struggle will end.
So when God uses you in situations around the world or in our own community, and they seem insurmountable, remember that God says I got you, and your struggle is not yours. God does not want His children to withdraw from our world. He does not want us to become a secluded community for people who only look like us and act like us. This is not His idea of struggle free. He wants us to embrace the fact that our struggles are His. If we learn to lean on Him and not our own understanding, He will direct our path. Because we will understand He is the one who is able to keep us from falling, and present us before the throne of Grace. To Him belongs all power and dominion, so if He knows all things, and is in control of all things, then every struggle we have belongs to Him, and He has a plan for it in our lives. So, wherever you are, whatever you have been going through, God said your struggle will end. This promise is made to His children, your struggles will end.
