Smile

I think too often we underestimate the power of a smile, which has the potential to turn around someone's day, or maybe even more. That smile you give out might even make your day or week better. I can honestly say I have seen the softening of the hardest heart with only a smile, and a lot of the time it is my own smile that is doing it. I heard someone say, or maybe I read it somewhere, A smile is the key that fits the lock to everyone's heart. Think about it, that one simple smile has the power to calm someone's fear, anxiety, hurt, or insecurities. A single smile, one that is true, has within it the power to change the world because it can be shared no matter what language you speak. Smiles are also contagious, so when you smile at someone, you are passing on all the good things smiles can do.
God has given us the power to change attitudes, to change lives, and all you have to do is start smiling. Use your smile to break down the walls of indifference, to show you care, to share God's love with the rest of the world. Mother Teresa said " Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing." It truly is a gift, a gift of God's love, sharing the Holy Spirit with someone through that smile. Mother Teresa also said "Peace starts with a smile. " So maybe, instead of shooting and killing each other, we should start smiling, and we might get closer to true peace.......
